Volume LXV of The Oxyrhynchus Papyri: 1998
Centenary year: this (not, alas, the 100th volume) is the most recent in the series to be published. The volume exhibited in the Ashmolean is in fact an advance copy, the bulk of the 600-copy print run not yet being publicly available at the time of this exhibition.
Since the beginning of the series, most of the volumes were printed by the Oxford University Press. With the collapse of the Printing Division in 1989, the burden of printing was taken up by The Charlesworth Group in Huddersfield, which has been responsible for the last ten volumes.
